It was with great sadness that I learnt of the death of Robin I'Anson.

I first met Robin when he was an engineer at Sea Containers, he joined before me, so before 1979 and originally worked with the crane department. Robin was a brilliant engineer and was involved the the SC ship division, tank department and later involved in working for Sea Containers BI as a sub contracted refrigeration and development engineer. He currently was working with Spacewise part of TAL as a contractor with his two sons, Ross and Scott.
 

Only yesterday he was working at the Barking depot on refrigeration equipment.  He unfortunately died whilst driving home to the best of my understanding. I am sure all those who knew Robin will have some kind thought for those he leaves behind.

He will be greatly missed.
