Guy van Strydonck South American agents

1   Taken just a short while before the death of Freddy Clemo - probably the most charismatic of all Sea Containers worldwide agents.  Flanked by Brian Bennett and Simon Price.

2.   Dick Large was our agent in Hong Kong (with Swires) at the time of the Hong Kong Conference in 1974.  Photo showing Dick, his son and daughter, and JS, taken by Faith Large at their home in Gloucestershire in the late 1980s.

3.  Taken during a visit by JS to the Sea Containers Japan office in Tokyo, which establishes the date as sometime around 1980.

4.  A visit to Lisbon by JS and David Young in the mid-70s was the occasion for this picture of two of the personnel of our agents.  Martin Guia (R) and Capt. Manuel Soares Sousa  (L)

5.   Guy van Strydonck is still remembered with much affection as the original Sea Containers agent in Belgium with ICTC.  The picture was taken after his retirement on a celebratory boat trip.

6   This one was supplied by Ralph Torretta, taken sometime in the 1980s in Buenos Aires at the introduction of the ventilated and tank containers to the South American market.  From L to R are Dr Delfino (owner of the Argentine agency); Mariano Marenco  (Argentine agent and still a "player"); Romi Guidino (Agent from Avisa, Peru); RAT; Capt. Wolf Keymer (Hamburg Sud's South American representative and also acting as Sea Containers agent).
