Jock Melvin served to a large extent as the model for the character “Matt” Mattson in my only published novel The Torturous Scheme.

He was also a role model – despite himself and his vastly self-destructive tendencies – for much of the discipline and integrity that I subsequently brought to bear on my business practices.
